Mahindra’s new motor grader targets small contractors

Mahindra’s Construction Equipment Division (MCE), a part of the Mahindra Group has launched its RoadMaster G75 Smart, a motor grader at Excon 2022.

Jalaj Gupta, Business Head, CV Business Unit, Mahindra & Mahindra said, “The RoadMaster G75 Smart Motor Grader has been designed and developed in India based on deep insights of the needs of smaller road contractors. Our aim is to help small contractors break free from sub-optimal grading practices and to upgrade them to mechanisation and enable them to participate in nation building.”

The MCE has positioned the product as one that offers low owning and operating costs and which can be a small road contractor’s “Profit Ka Partner”. Motor graders are designed to level road surfaces.

According to MCE, its existing RoadMaster range of motor graders which also includes the EarthMaster VX and EarthMaster SX SMART Backhoe Loaders, the Roadmaster G9075 and G9595 were on display at Excon. This product range, says MCE has a 20 percent market share.

MCE said the G75 is an ideal machine for spreading and grading applications for the rural, semi-rural and district roads, land development, internal housing and commercial roads. It enables small road contractors to participate in projects with grading needs for government flagship programmes such as Smart City, as well as PMGSY roads. The RoadMaster G75 Smart is powered by a 74 HP Mahindra CRDi engine which is coupled with a 3 metre or 10 feet wide blade and iMAXX telematics solution. It comes with a one-year warranty.
