Mahindra Electric Mobility has launched its electric three-wheeler (passenger carrier) the Treo in Maharashtra at Rs 209,000 (ex-showroom, Mumbai) post FAME-II, state and early-bird subsidies.

At the price, the Mahindra Treo price undercuts its IC-engine competition in the state. In fact, the company claims in addition to the initial cost of ownership, its e-three-wheeler customers will save up to Rs 200,000 in 5 years.

The e3W has a peak of 8 kW and slope climbing ability of 12.7 degree. To make it accessible for customers the Treo is available with a low-down payment scheme of just Rs 41 500.00 from Mahindra Finance and an interest rate of 10.8% from State Bank of India. A customer can also avail the exchange of Rs 7,500 on the Mahindra Treo.

Suman Mishra, CEO, Mahindra Electric Mobility said, “Maharashtra with its EV friendly policy has already taken the lead in electric mobility. With the launch of Mahindra Treo today, I am certain that we will help transform Maharashtra’s last mile commute to a noise and pollution free ride. India’s No.1 selling electric auto, Treo, will also enhance livelihoods with up to Rs 200,000 savings in 5 years.”
