Mahindra launches Gusto 125, eyes exports

Mahindra Two Wheelers has launched the Gusto 125 scooter in two variants today in the Karnataka market and will soon roll it out in Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Andhra Pradesh.

Mahindra Two Wheelers has launched the Gusto 125 scooter in two variants today in the Karnataka market and will soon roll it out in Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Andhra Pradesh.

The scooter will be introduced in other parts of the country in a phased manner. The company also plans to target exports with shipments to Nepal, Sri Lanka and Africa.

Launching the Gusto 125cc in Bangalore, Vinod Sahay, Chief Operating Officer, Mahindra Two Wheelers, said, “The all-new Gusto 125 comes with a powerful 125cc M-Tec engine with load-sensing MCDi technology and stylish looks to match.”

The vehicle is available in two variants – Vx and Dx – with a price-tag of Rs 53,689 and Rs 50,680 respectively. With the new scooter, Mahindra is trying to make the most of the speedy growth in the segment. Currently,

125cc scooters account for around 13-14 percent of the overall scooter segment and is expected to touch 20-25 percent in a couple of years.

Some of the Gusto 125’s highlights include a remote flip key, find-me lamps and 12-inch wheels with tubeless tyres.
