Land Rover launches Evoque 2016 for Rs 47.1 lakh

The updated Evoque is powered by the same 2.2-litre diesel engine developing 187bhp mated to a nine-speed automatic gearbox as the pre-facelifted model.

Tata Motors’ luxury car brand Land Rover today unveiled the upgraded model of the top selling SUV, Range Rover Evoque 2016, with prices starting from Rs 47.1 lakh (ex-showroom, pre-octroi Mumbai). 

The facelifted Evoque is available in four variants:

-  Evoque Pure: Rs 47.1 Lakh

-  Evoque SE: Rs  52.9 Lakh

-  Evoque HSE: Rs 57.7 Lakh

-  Evoque HSE Dynamic: Rs 63.2 Lakh

The updated Evoque is powered by the same 2.2-litre diesel engine developing 187bhp mated to a nine-speed automatic gearbox as the pre-facelifted model.

Among the new features of the 2016 Evoque is an innovative Gesture Tailgate function, which allows owners to automatically open and close the tailgate by waving a foot beneath the rear bumper.

It is also equipped with a heads-up display, surround camera system, panoramic sunroof, mood lighting, a 17-speaker 825W Meridian sound system, rear-seat entertainment display and a tyre pressure monitoring system. Land Rover’s Terrain Response System is standard across all variants. 

Commenting on the launch Rohit Suri, President, Jaguar Land Rover India Ltd (JLRIL), said, “With its distinctive design, the New Range Rover Evoque is the ultimate statement of style and luxury for the young at heart. This luxury SUV has been setting benchmarks in the industry since its launch and with the introduction of the 2016 Model Year, we are confident of its continued success.”

According to Suri, JLR has already got 125 bookings for the new Evoque and the luxury carmaker is hopeful of seeing incremental sales going forward.
