KPIT partners KLE Tech University for engineering degree program

The course will provide a four-year Bachelor’s degree in Electronics and Communication to KPIT Diploma engineers.

KPIT partners KLE Tech University for engineering degree program

KPIT Technologies has announced its collaboration with Karnataka based KLE Technological University (KLE Tech). Through this collaboration KPIT and KLE Tech will come together to co-deliver an undergraduate engineering degree programme (BE in Electronics and Communication) for KPITs’ diploma engineers.

As per KPIT, the programme aims to empower employees to advance their domain skills in the changing industry landscape and acquire higher academic qualifications, while they continue to work. In light of the current situation the program will be delivered virtually and in future enable in person engaging projects

Commenting on the development Kishor Patil, co-founder and CEO of KPIT, said, “Up skilling is a foundation of growth. Owing to the successful collaborations with Coventry University, UK and other programs we have, we wanted to introduce similar programs for our employees who join us after completing their diploma.”

Employee training and upskilling have been key focus areas for KPIT, the company officials said. Over the years, KPIT has partnered with Coventry University, UK to offer two specialised programmes—MTech in Automotive Electronics and MBA in Strategic Engineering Management—exclusively for KPIT employees. KPIT has also collaborated with Udacity to upskill and build the engineering talent ecosystem for Autonomous technology, the company added.

Dr Ashok Shettar, Vice Chancellor of KLE Technological University, Hubballi said, “The BE (E&C) industry integrated program launched in collaboration with KPIT is one such unique initiative to create opportunities for the Diploma candidates to pursue their higher studies. The program is co-developed and will be co-delivered by the faculty of KPIT experts and University faculty.”
