Pune-based Kinetic Green Energy and Power Solutions, a leading manufacturer of electric vehicles, has launched a range of green solutions, which it says effectively disinfect the indoor and outdoor areas and help create a germ-free and healthy environment.

The company has introduced three products, including Kinetic e-fogger and e-sprayer range for disinfecting outdoor areas like public places, slums, large industrial campuses, hospitals, factories and residential townships; as well as a portable UV sanitizer, suitable for disinfecting indoor areas like hospital rooms and offices among others.

The company says its new product range includes a novel water-based fogging solution, Kinetic e-Fogger. Using advanced green technology, the company is propagating cold fogging instead of thermal fogging. Cold fogging uses water as a carrier instead of harmful diesel used in thermal fogging, but is equally effective.

The EV manufacturer is deploying Kinetic Safar, its indigenously designed battery-operated electric three-wheeler for the spraying and fogging operation. The OEM says the mobile disinfecting solution can travel even in congested areas or small lanes of slums or congested old city areas, which are difficult to cover in a large vehicle or extremely time-consuming and ineffective on foot. These convenient and green solutions can assist in overcoming the spread of the disease in these crucial areas.

The fogging and spraying equipment is mounted on EVs rather than on a diesel vehicle, it is said to offer a sustainable solution without generating any noise, vibration and air pollution. Kinetic says its e-Fogger and e-Sprayer vehicles are economical and offer an operating cost of only 50 paisa/km. The vehicles are well-equipped to have both water-based and diesel-based fogging option.

The third product, a UV Sanitizer has been developed by Kinetic for sanitisation of indoor areas such as rooms of hospitals, ambulance, buses or offices. It uses Ultraviolet germicidal irradiation (UVGI) disinfection method where short-wavelength ultraviolet (ultraviolet C or UVC) light is activated to kill or inactivate micro-organisms in the vicinity.

It has been used primarily in medical sanitation and sterile work facilities. There will be two portable models suitable for different areas of 100 sqft and 500 sqft and can be quite effective to also sanitise in congested slum areas. The proprietary technology is being developed by Kinetic Group company, Kinetic Communications, and will be marketed and serviced by Kinetic Green dealers all across the country.

Commenting on the launch of the product range, Sulajja Firodia, founder and CEO, Kinetic Green Energy and Power Solutions said, “Kinetic Green is extremely happy to introduce these revolutionary products which will help to create a germ-free environment and contribute to arresting the spread the Corona virus. We would like to immediately offer this solution to the government and municipal corporations, especially to disinfect congested areas like the slums where the disease is spreading rapidly."

"These solutions will also be useful for creating a safe environment in various public places, gardens, large townships, campuses of educational institutes, offices, factories, and hospitals in the future. They will assist to eliminate fear among citizens and help them to return to a normal life amid this pandemic.  In these unprecedented times, this is our small effort to offer solutions which are safe for humans as well as for the environment,” added Firodia.

The company says it has fully developed the supply chain and completed development as well as testing of its solutions. Kinetic’s e-Fogger vehicles are already being used in few places including Panvel in Maharashtra and Faizabad in Uttar Pradesh. It is already in discussion with many Urban Local Bodies in the country including Maharashtra government authorities and expects to deliver many more in coming weeks, especially to assist the authorities in their efforts to curb the spread of Covid-19.
