Kawasaki launches assembled-in-India BS VI Ninja 650 at Rs 645,000
The new Ninja 650 features new styling with twin LED headlamps, as well as a high-performance chassis and a full suite of state-of-the-art advanced rider support features.
India Kawasaki Motors today launched India’s first locally manufactured fully faired BS VI-compliant MY2021 Ninja 650. The new Ninja 650 will be available in 2 colours – Lime Green/Ebony and Pearl Flat Stardust White / Metallic Flat Spark Black.
The new Ninja 650 is one of the most well-balanced motorcycles Kawasaki has produced, blending the fun and easy handling with optimal engine and chassis performance and the legendary Kawasaki Ninja styling. The new Ninja 650, as endemic to Ninjas, offers nimble handling and direct feel complemented by easy-to-manage power delivery and rider-friendly manoeuvrability, which translates into a good blend of sporty performance and everyday versatility.
The new Ninja 650 features the 649cc parallel twin-cylinder powerplant and new styling with twin LED headlamps, as well as a high performance chassis and a full suite of state-of-the-art advanced rider support features. It also packs 4.3-inch TFT colour instrumentation, smartphone connectivity, Dunlop Sportmax Roadsport 2 tyres.
Compliance to new BS VI emission norms sees the Ninja 650’s price increase to between Rs 645,000 and Rs 675,000 (ex-showroom).
IKM opened its production facility in Chakan, Pune, Maharashtra in July 2017 where it currently assembles the Ninja 300, Ninja 400, Ninja 650, Z650, Versys-X 300, Versys 650, Vulcan S, Ninja 1000, Versys 1000, Ninja ZX-6R and ZX-10R. At present, IKM has 30 dealerships across India and offers 28 products which includes super-sports, naked, sports-tourer and off-road variants.
