JCB India rolls out its 100,000th ecoMAX engine

JCB India has set a production landmark by rolling out its 100,000^th JCB ecoMAX engine in its fifth year of production.

The company started manufacturing its own range of engines in India in 2011. According to the company, JCB ecoMAX engines are regarded as the most fuel efficient, reliable and productive engines available in the Indian market.

“This is a remarkable achievement for JCB. It is a matter of great pride for us – our team of young men and women to roll out 100,000^th Made-in-India ecoMAX engine from our facility at Ballabgarh. This milestone is a testimony to the world class quality products designed and manufactured by JCB India.” said Vipin Sondhi, MD and CEO, JCB India. “Like every JCB product, our engines are also manufactured on the company philosophy of ‘One Global Quality” and are exported to various countries around the globe.”

JCB currently manufactures three types of engines – naturally aspirated, turbocharged and electronic – in the range of 56kW to 121kW in 4-cylinder ratings. JCB additionally makes a 6- cylinder range for larger applications.
