Jaguar Land Rover sells over 1,000 units in January-March 2016

The growth has come on the back of sustained demand for recently launched new models such as new Jaguar XE and Discovery Sport.

Jaguar Land Rover India has sold over 1,000 units in the first three months of 2016, recording a year-on-year growth of 45 percent. This growth, the company says, has come on the back of high demand for sales of its recently launched new models such as new Jaguar XE and Discovery Sport.

According to Rohit Suri, president, Jaguar Land Rover India, “The all-new Jaguar XE, which we introduced in the Indian market in February 2016 in petrol derivatives, has received a tremendous response. Also, the demand for the Model Year 2016 Jaguar XJ, Range Rover Evoque and Discovery Sport continues to be extremely robust.”

The Jaguar range in India also includes the F-Type (Rs 1.25 crore in CBU form) and the locally manufactured XF (Rs 47.7 lakh), XJ (Rs 99.99 lakh) and new XE (Rs 39.90 lakh, ex-showroom Mumbai).

The Land Rover range in India includes the flagship Range Rover (Rs 2.12 crore in CBU form), Range Rover Sport (Rs 1.18 crore in CBU form), Discovery 4 (Rs 1.11 crore in CBU form), new Discovery Sport (Rs 47.59 lakh) and Model Year 16 New Range Rover Evoque (Rs 48.60 lakh).

Jaguar Land Rover India currently has a network of 23 authorised outlets in Ahmedabad, Aurangabad, Bangalore, Bhubaneswar, Chandigarh, Chennai, Coimbatore, Delhi, Gurgaon, Hyderabad, Indore, Jaipur, Kolkata, Kochi, Karnal, Lucknow, Ludhiana, Mangalore, Mumbai, Nagpur, Pune and Raipur.
