"What will make cars smarter and more intuitive by 2030?" was the challenge for the second edition of the Valeo Innovation Challenge. The competition is an opportunity for students around the world to innovate and develop methods to reduce emissions and increase safety and efficiency in automobiles. The aim is to stimulate the students’ creativity, enabling them to form multidisciplinary teams. Valeo was also awarded the Top Employers label in 22 countries for 2015.
The ideas will be judged by a panel of automotive experts along with Valeo CEO, Jacques Aschenbroich. The winners will be announced on September 29 in Paris. The first place will take home 100,000 euros while the second and first runners-up will receive a 10,000 Euro consolation prize.
The competition has been really tough – 1,324 teams from 89 countries had taken part, but only 6 teams made the cut to the finals.
