Indian Motorcycle launches Springfield at Rs 31.07 lakh

Named after the birthplace of Indian Motorcycle, the Springfield is powered by the high-performance Thunder Stroke 111 engine, delivering a torque of 138.9Nm at 2600rpm.

Polaris India, which sells Indian Motorcycles in the domestic market, today launched the all-new Indian Springfield cruiser at Rs 31.07 lakh (ex-showroom Gurugram).

Named after the birthplace of Indian Motorcycle, the Springfield is powered by the high-performance Thunder Stroke 111 engine, delivering  a torque of 138.9Nm at 2600rpm. Its unique chassis can handle a wide load range, featuring telescopic front forks and an air adjustable rear single shock with 11.4cm of travel for safely transporting up GVWR of 630kg.

The bike is loaded with ABS, cast aluminium frame with integrated air-box, cruise control, front & rear highway bars as standard. It also features quick release hard saddlebags, tire pressure monitoring and adjustable passenger floorboards.

Commenting on the launch of the Indian Springfield, Pankaj Dubey, CEO and director, EPPL and Polaris India said, “The launch of the Indian Springfield is part of our strategy to introduce products which would take the growth story of Indian Motorcycle to the next level in India. Seasoned riders will surely find the Indian Springfield as the best partner in their marathon road trips.”

The Springfield has the technology to be quickly converted into a cruiser with the quick-release windshield and saddlebags removed, or transformed into a tourer model with Indian Motorcycle’s genuine accessories.

Available in classic thunder black colour, the bike also features digital tachometer, ambient air temperature, average fuel economy, TPMS, check engine and tank mounted electronic fuel gauge with low fuel LED indicator.
