India Kawasaki Motors (IKM) has launched the new BS-VI compliant Model Year 2022 Ninja 300 at Rs 318,000 (ex-showroom). The company claims the speed machine, now with updated graphics, has not lost any power in the transition to BS VI. The new 296cc fuel injected parallel-twin engine develops 38.46hp.

The new bike is unmistakably a Ninja – from the aggressive dual headlights to its sharp, minimalist tail cowl, every surface looks sculpted to ensure a high level of fit and finish and the trademark silhouette. The Ninja styling is inspired by the bigger ZX-14R, ZX-10R and ZX-6R.

According to IYM, the new Ninja 300 has “racetrack level chassis stability, and race-derived clutch technology that offers a Supersport-style back-torque limiter and increased ride feel.”

Key highlights include the 38hp power, fine-atomising injectors, dual throttle valves, sleeveless, aluminium die-cast cylinder; assist and slipper clutch, heat management system, 37mm telescopic front fork, Uni-Trak rear suspension, new exhaust with short-style silencer, larger 290mm petal disc, wider 140mm rear tyres, wde set of raised separate handle bar, supersports-style aluminium footpegs, analog-digital instrument cluster.

The new Ninja 300 is available in three colours – Lime Green, Candy Lime Green Type 3 and Ebony.

IKM, which opened its production facility in Chakan, Pune, Maharashtra in July 2017, currently has 29 dealerships across India.
