Hyundai October sales grow 30 percent to 48,000 units

India’s Number Two passenger vehicle maker – Hyundai Motor India – has reported wholesale despatches of 48,001 units to dealers in the month of October 2022, registering a 29.6 percent year-on-year growth.

The company is continuing its strong sales momentum built up in the festive season with 46,866 units sold in August and 49,700 units in September 2022. The carmaker continues to register strong demand for its range of SUVs including the top-selling Creta midsize SUV, Venue compact crossover, and the newly-launched Tucson premium SUV that was introduced in the month of August.

According to Tarun Garg, director, Sales, Marketing and Service, Hyundai Motor India, “With the ever-improving semiconductor situation, we were able to meet the demand of our customers and deliver their favourite Hyundai cars during the festive season in October. Our new models like Tucson continue to receive an overwhelming customer response with excellent booking numbers creating a blue ocean of premium SUVs for the Indian market.”

A sustained demand for its cars and SUV would mean, the South Korean car maker is set to end 2022 with its highest ever domestic sales of over 5.5 lakh units, which would mean a growth of over 9-10 percent this calendar year.
