Hyundai Motor India sells 41,351 units in May, up 10.4% YoY

Hyundai Motor India sells 41,351 units in May, up 10.4% YoY

Hyundai Motor India has reported domestic sales of 41,351 units in May 2016, which translates into a growth of 10.4% (May 2015: 37,450)

Commenting on the carmaker’s May 2016 sales, Rakesh Srivastava, senior vice-president (Sales and Marketing), Hyundai Motor India, said, “In a market seeing challenges of stressed rural demand and uncertainty on diesel vehicles, Hyundai volumes grew by 10.4 percent with sales of 41,351 units continuing the build up of positive growth momentum on the strengths of strong performance of the Creta, Elite i20 and Grand i10, with heightened expectations of increase in demand on the predictions of good monsoon.”

The company currently sells 10 car models across segments – Eon, i10, Grand i10, Elite i20, Active i20, Xcent, Verna, Creta, Elantra and Santa Fe. It also exports to around 92 countries across Africa, Middle East, Latin America, Australia and the Asia Pacific.

Hyundai Motor India’s sales network comprises 449 dealers and over 1,150 service points across India.
