Hyundai Motor India has issued a recall for 7,657 Eon hatchbacks to inspect the clutch cable for likely fouling with the battery cable.

The recall affects Eon cars manufactured in January 2015. The company will notify Eon customers in a phased manner and replace the battery cable for free if found damaged.

Hyundai launched the Eon hatchback in India in 2011 and, although the vehicle hasn’t received any facelifts, new variants with extra features were added to the line-up, a year after the launch. The compact hatch also came with factory-fitted LPG kit.
