Hyundai Motor India's November sales up 9.4 percent on festive demand

According to Hyundai, demand during the festive season is seen as the main driver for growth.

Hyundai Motor India's November sales up 9.4 percent on festive demand

Leading car manufacturer Hyundai Motor India, recorded a 9.4 percent growth in the November domestic sales with 48,800 units sold (November 2019: 44,600 units). Demand during the festive season is seen as the main driver for growth but the growing need for personal mobility post-pandemic has also helped the sales.

The exports in November declined by 34.6 percent at10,400 units and the cumulative sales stood at 59,200 units in November 2020.

Commenting on the performance, Tarun Garg, Director (Sales, Marketing and Service), HMIL said, “Building on the strong sales momentum that was driven by festive demand this year, we continue to build high customer excitement through the line-up.  As the smart Indian customer continues to make smart mobility choices, the recently introduced i20 has helped carry forward the festive momentum even in the post Diwali period for HMIL and facilitated a sales growth of 9.4 percent in November 2020 over the same period last year. We will continue our efforts towards driving customer delight through our innovative solutions."
