Hyundai Motor India, the country’s second largest car manufacturer and largest car exporter, has  announced a price increase of up to Rs 30,000 across all its models except the newly launched Creta SUV. The new prices come into effect from August 1.

Commenting on the price increase, Rakesh Srivastava, senior vice-president (sales and marketing), Hyundai Motor India, said, “The price increase has been necessitated by an increase in the input costs. We have been absorbing most of the costs but now we are constrained to consider the price increase in this challenging market environment.”

The recently launched Hyundai Creta has been spared the price hike.
