Hyderabad-based firm enters India EV market with three scooters

Priced from Rs 144,000 through to Rs 216,000,bookings for EVeium’s Cosmo, Comet and Czar open on August 8.

Ellysium Automotives, the automotive arm of the United Arab Emirates-based company META4 Group, has entered the electric two-wheeler industry in India.

The company has introduced the new brand called EVeium, under which it has launched the three e-scooters – the Cosmo, Comet and Czar – at prices starting from Rs 144,000 through to Rs 216,000. Bookings will open on August 8, 2022 at Rs 999 at EVeium showrooms in Pune, Hyderabad, Bangalore and Calicut. All the e-scooters have been launched under the high-speed category. 

The Cosmo, priced at Rs 144,000 (ex-showroom), is powered by a Lithium-ion 72V and 30Ah battery, which gets fully charged in four hours, and a 2000 W motor. Claimed range is 80km on a single full charge and the Cosmo has a top speed of 65kph.

The Comet, which goes up to 85kph, has a range of 150km. It gets a Lithium-ion 72V and 50Ah battery and 3000 W motor. It is priced at Rs 144,000.  The sticker price of the Comet is Rs 192,000. 

The Czar, which also has a top speed of 85kph, is priced at Rs 216,000 and goes up to 150km on a full charge on the lithium-ion 72V and 42Ah battery along with a 4000W capacity motor.

All three e-scooters have multiple speed modes (Eco, Normal and Sport), keyless start, anti-theft feature, LCD display, regenerative braking, mobile app connectivity, Find My Vehicle feature, real-time tracking, over-speed alert and geofencing. The Comet and Czar also have the reverse gear feature.
