HOP Electric Mobility launches Oxo at Rs 125,000, claims 150km range

Electric scooter maker expands portfolio with new e-bike in two variants; claims 90kph top speed, 150km range on a single charge and 0-40kph in 4 seconds.

India’s electric motorcycle industry has just seen the entry of a new product – the HOP Oxo priced at Rs 125,000 – manufactured by HOP Electric Mobility.  

Ketan Mehta, CEO and Founder, HOP Electric Mobility said, “Electric is taking the Indian market by storm. This growth is propelled by consumers’ inclinations toward sustainable, convenient and affordable mobility solutions. HOP OXO is the result of years of R&D, road testing and hard work of hundreds of HOP employees. Given that our dealer partners have already conducted 5,000 pre-launch registrations, we foresee tremendous hypergrowth in this category.”

Here’s a brief description of HOP OXO and OXO-X specifications:

HOP OXO, an indigenous electric bike, promises to fulfil all mobility needs of modern consumers. It is integrated with a wide array of prominent features and a five-inch Advance Information Display with an IP67 rating for protection against dust, dirt and water splashes while ensuring seamless functioning.

The Oxo, which employs 72 V architecture, has a 6200 Watt peak power motor that develops 200 Nm of wheel torque. The electric bike has three ride modes (eco, power and sport) with an additional turbo mode called Oxo X. The company claims the Oxo X has a top speed of 90kph in Turbo mode and accelerates from 0-40kph in just 4 seconds. 

The Oxo is powered by an advanced lithium-ion 3.75 kWh battery with smart BMS and 811 NMC cells and has a claimed 150km range on a single charge. Zero to 80% charging takes less than 4 hours, as per the company.

With the Oxo, the company has expanded its range of EVs. OXO already markets two e-scooters, the Leo and Lyf which have three variants each. The brand plans to launch 10 new products in the next three years.
