A week after it released the teaser image of its upcoming new Grazia 125 scooter, Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India today the BS VI version of the model, priced at Rs 73,336 (for Standard version, ex-showroom Gurugram, Haryana).

Commenting on the new Grazia, Yadvinder Singh Guleria, Director - Sales and Marketing, HMSI, said, "With a significant change in form, styling and technology, the new Grazia 125 BS VI will bring a totally new mobility experience.”

The new Grazia 125 is powered by Honda’s 125cc PGM-FI HET (Honda Eco Technology) engine, boosted by Enhanced Smart Power (eSP). The OEM’s ACG starter starts engine jolt-free via the same AC generator used to generate current and charge the battery while riding. This eliminates the need for a conventional starter motor.

Honda says the PGM-FI-equipped engine injects the right amount of fuel in cylinder based on specific engine data and constant feedback from the 6 intelligent sensors (engine oil temperature sensor, engine Speed sensor, oxygen sensor, air pressure sensor, air temperature sensor, throttle position sensor) resulting in smooth and linear power output throughout. Also, Honda claims reduced friction and optimized weight result in improved fuel efficiency. The new Grazia 125 also benefits from an Idling Stop System that automatically switches the engine off at the traffic light and other brief stops, eliminating unnecessary fuel consumption and resulting in lesser emission.

Other product highlights include an LED DC headlamp; multi-function switch to unlock the seat and open external fuel lid with a single switch; two-way functioning integrated engine start/stop switch (to start the engine when pressed downwards and acts as an engine kill switch when pressed upward); integrated headlamp beam and passing switch, side-stand indicator with engine-cut-off.

There’s also a new intelligent instrument cluster that display advanced informatics like distance to empty (displays distance one can travel with existing fuel in tank), average fuel efficiency (for overall fuel efficiency display) and real-time fuel efficiency for a rich riding experience.  The meter displays details like 3-step ECO indicator, clock, service due indicator and other mileage related information.

Grazia 125 comes equipped with Combi Brake System (CBS) with equalizer technology, which distributes braking force proportionately between front and rear wheels simultaneously by pressing just the left lever resulting in reduced braking distance and improved balance compared to conventional braking.

Honda will also be offering a special 6-year warranty package (3 years standard + 3 years optional extended warranty) on the Grazia 125 BSVI.

The new Grazia 125 has two variants – Standard & Deluxe in four colours: Mat Cyber Yellow, Pearl Spartan Red, Pearl Siren Blue and Mat Axis Grey.
