Honda Shine rides past 9 million sales after 14 years
Launched in 2006, the 125cc Shine has a popular fan following.
Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India has announced that its Shine motorcycle, launched in 2006, has crossed the 90 lakh or 9 million sales milestone. Last month, the Shine recorded 26% month-on-month growth at 94,413 units (November 2019: 75,144).
Atsushi Ogata, Managing Director, President & CEO, HMSI said, “Over the years, the Shine has redefined the 125cc segment, leading customers’ expectations with continuous product & feature enhancement.”
Yadvinder Singh Guleria, Director – Sales & Marketing, HMSI, added: “The Shine is India’s favorite 125cc motorcycle and holds a very important place in our product portfolio. Today, the Shine leads the pack proudly in its segment and has the distinction of being the only exclusive 125cc motorcycle brand in the top 4 selling motorcycles of the country.”
