Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) has announced that its Dream Series of 110cc commuter motorcycles – Dream Yuga, Dream Neo and more recently the CD 110 Dream – has crossed the 10 lakh sales mark, 26 months after the first model was launched.

The Dream Yuga, the first in the series, rolled out on June 19, 2012. The company says since then its share in the 100-110cc segment has increased by 400 percent (2%-8%), making it the fastest growing segment for Honda.

In June 2013, HMSI rolled out the Dream Yuga equipped with Honda Eco Technology (HET) which has helped increase the bike’s fuel efficiency from 72 kilometres per litre to 74kpl, as tested by HMSI. HET, which is also on the trio of scooters (Activa, Aviator and Dio) and the 109cc Dream Neo, reduces friction, improves combustion and helps improve mileage.

Commenting on the sales milestone, Yadvinder S Guleria, vice-president (Sales & Marketing), HMSI, said: “We thank all our million dreamers for reposing their trust and confidence in brand Honda. With our increased network in rural India, we are confident the Dream Series will further expand, especially with our latest addition – the CD 110 Dream.”
