Hero MotoCorp sells 15,000 units of Maestro Edge in two weeks
Hero MotoCorp has sold more than 15,000 units of its 110cc Maestro Edge scooter within two weeks of its launch in India, a top official of the company said.
Hero MotoCorp has sold more than 15,000 units of its 110cc Maestro Edge scooter within two weeks of its launch in India, a top official of the company said. The Maestro Edge, launched on October 13, is billed as a premium brand scooter.
Talking to Autocar Professional on the sidelines of a press conference held in Bangalore on Wednesday, Ashok Bhasin, head of sales, marketing and customer care, Hero MotoCorp, said the Maestro Edge has received a tremendous response from buyers in India. “As of now, we are selling the Maestro Edge in North India. This scooter will be available pan-India soon. We have launched this scooter in South India too along with our 110cc scooter Duet (on October 28).
He said the Maestro Edge will be available in Karnataka state starting from mid-November. According to Bhasin, the Maestro Edge’s features are appealing to buyers. These include include key with e-code, mobile charging point, remote seat opening, remote fuel-lid opening, pass switch, service due indicator, side stand indicator, tubeless tyres and twin parking lamps. Other highlights include an integrated braking system, telescopic front suspension and bigger 12-inch front wheels for riding comfort and improved stability. The scooter, which is powered by a 110cc air-cooled, 4-stroke single-cylinder OHC engine, delivers a claimed fuel efficiency of 65.8kpl. The Maestro Edge is available in seven colours.
