HERE Tech opens its biggest R&D hub in Mumbai
With over 4000 employees, in India alone, this will be the company’s 8th centre in India, with other offices in Mumbai and Bangalore, making it the biggest operational and developmental hub.
HERE Technologies, the global mapping and location platform services major, has opened a new state-of-the-art office at NESCO IT Park in Mumbai. The company aims to strengthen its position globally with this new facility, also reinforcing the role of Indian talent in driving the company’s global R&D hub.
The new facility is spread over a total carpet area of 66,489 square feet, across three floors, accommodating more than 500 employees, including the content engineering team that drives the company’ significant global R&D efforts. With over 4,000 employees, in India alone, this will be the company’s eight centre in India, with other offices in Mumbai and Bangalore, making it the biggest operational and developmental hub.
With this facility, the company hopes to propel its transformation to a high-performance organization that enable global talent mobility, operational excellence and scalability.
Damandeep Kochhar, vice-president for HERE’s global content operations in India, said, “The new facility is a strategic investment in the Indian market and will play an important role as an innovation talent hub. It reinforces our commitment to nurture and skill local talent, while accelerating and empowering our clients to stay ahead of the digital transformation curve, as India leapfrogs into a $1 trillion digital economy in the next decade.”
