Gujarat-headquartered electric bicycle start-up Svitch has announced that it has expanded its reach and has now onboarded over 70 dealers, five distributors, and four exclusive dealers across the country. The start-up says it aims to further deepen its market reach in India.

Launched in August 2019, Svitch has positioned its unique designed electric cycles – XE, XE+ and MXE – in the premium segment. At present, it has distributors in Maharashtra, Haryana, New Delhi, and Karnataka; four exclusive Svitch Showrooms in Bangalore, Pune, Aurangabad, and Himmatnagar.

The start-up claims despite the impact of Covid-19 outbreak, it has been able to increase its sales, improve aftersales service and rapid expansion.

Raj Patel, founder, Svitch said, “We began our humble journey with just two employees in just a 650-square-foot office. Today, with the support of consumers and dealers, we have grown up to 87+ Svitch mates and our headquarter spans across over 6,000 square feet in Ahmedabad. We also have a factory spread over 40,000 square feet. There is relentless hard work behind this success. Our products are the best-in-class and our technology is unbeatable. The rapid growth is just a splash; Svitch bikes will soon revolutionize the EV market.”

“Our 250W DC motor gives the rider a speed of 25kph and once you start pedalling, our bikes can easily clock 45kph. The battery life of Svitch bikes is unparalleled and one can ride up to 120km on a single charge. Also, our vehicles have dual suspension for ultimate comfort, they are sturdy, and they are portable as one can fold them easily. Further, the tyre, brakes, displays, and all our accessories are top-notch and make every cycling ride a memorable experience.”

Svitch says its e-bicycles have got good response not just in India but also in global markets like including the UK, UAE, and many more. The start-up claims it is now working on manufacturing India’s fastest electric motorbike — S2K. The alpha (phase 1) tests of S2K have already been completed successfully and the beta tests — including parameters such as robustness, security, performance, and artificial intelligence — are underway.
