Greaves Electric Mobility to reveal five new EVs at Auto Expo 2023

The EVs include an all-new electric scooter with a new brand identity and premium design, and an aerodynamic three-wheeler cargo concept; all five products will have a high level of localisation.

Greaves Electric Mobility Pvt Ltd (GEMPL), the e-mobility business of Greaves Cotton, is to reveal five new electric vehicles – across Ampere two-wheelers and GEMPL three-wheelers – at next month’s Auto Expo 2023 in Greater Noida. The new range of EVs is targeted at the growing B2B and B2C market.

According to the company, the “new products will sport a sophisticated and modern design language, backed by rigorous engineering and development. Each product is carefully optimised to address future customer expectation, Indian road- and use-conditions, and operating economics.”
Other than teaser visuals of the upcoming EVs, the company has shared little other information.

The five upcoming EVs include an all-new electric scooter embodying a new brand identity and premium design, and a next-generation, aerodynamic three-wheeler cargo concept. All products will have a high level of localisation with domestically sourced components.

Nagesh Basavanhalli, Executive Vice-Chairman of Greaves Cotton said, “This Auto Expo is a milestone for GEMPL. GEMPL has a strong presence in both the electric two- and three-wheeler segments. Ampere Vehicles ranks among the top five electric two-wheeler OEMs in India while Bestway, with the ELE brand (e-rickshaw), and MRL Auto,  with the Teja brand (e-auto and e-cargo) are fast-growing businesses in the electric three-wheeler segment.
