Greaves Ampere gets FAME II subsidy with new Zeal e2W

According to Greaves Cotton, the Zeal electric scooter will get Rs 18,000 subsidy under Fame II.

Greaves Cotton, one of India’s leading diversified engineering companies, today launched high-speed electric scooter, Ampere Zeal, which it says meets FAME II requirements and thus get a subsidy of Rs 18,000. This would translate to the new Zeal retailing at a price of around Rs 66,950.

In August 2018, Greaves Cotton had announced its intention to acquire a majority stake in Coimbatore-based Ampere Vehicles. The latest addition to the Ampere Vehicle's line up, the new Zeal has a top speed of 55kph and a range of 75km with a charge time of 5.5 hours. The Zeal comes with attractive styling and body graphics, LED headlights, dual speed mode (economy and power), fast acceleration (0-50kph in 14 sec), and anti-theft alarm. The electric scooter is available in five high gloss metallic colour options.

Ampere’s EVs come with one to three-year warranty and is covered with after-sales service across a network of over 300+ Greaves Retail stores and in over 5,000 aftermarket outlets across the country.
