With the amount of electronics content increasing by leaps and bounds in passenger vehicles and vehicle owners clamouring for more, the future looks very promising for suppliers of electronics equipment and solutions.
German testing solutions provider Goepel Electronics, which is exhibiting its latest infotainment and network testing solutions for the automotive industry at SIAT 2019, business has been good. The company says it has been able to generate 5-8 potential clients at this year's event. The company, which is witnessing growing demand from the domestic industry, says at present around 60 percent of its business in India comes from domestic clients, while the remaining comes from a mix of global and India-global partnership customers. While global automakers are keen on testing solutions from a safety perspective, their Indian counterparts’ demand is more towards infotainment, in-vehicle entertainment and comfort. Interestingly, the company is the testing service provider for suppliers of infotainment and seating solutions for Tata Motors and Mahindra & Mahindra.
