GNA Axles bags Automotive Axles' platinum award for forgings

GNA Axles has bagged the award in the forging category for best-in- class delivery performance from Automotive Axles, the joint venture between the Kalyani Group and Meritor Inc of the USA.

GNA Group’s subsidiary GNA Axles, which manufactures axle shafts, has won the Platinum Award in the forging category for best-in-class delivery performance from Automotive Axles, the joint venture between Kalyani Group and Meritor Inc, USA.

GNA Axles' production facility in Mehtiana, Punjab produces 2 million axle shafts annually and has the capability of manufacturing shafts from 1.5kg to 65kg and up to 165kg.

 

The company says that its axles application range includes light and heavy commercial vehicles, off-highway vehicles and rear axle shafts with flanges up to 425mm. Also, a large range of splined shafts is manufactured to meet a variety of transmission shaft requirements. GNA Axles says that its hollow spindles are the choice of HCV makers like Volvo and Renault and specialty vehicle manufacturers in Europe and North America.

Automotive Axles Limited (AAL) is a joint venture of Kalyani Group and Meritor Inc., USA. With manufacturing facilities located at Mysore (Karnataka) and Jamshedpur (Jharkhand), the company manufactures drive axles, non-drive axles, front steer axles, specialty and defence axles and drum and disc brakes. It provides these products to the major domestic and global manufacturers of trucks and buses.
