Ganesh Chaturthi sees Volkswagen India deliver 111 cars in Pune
The VW India portfolio this year has seen a new entrant in the form of the Ameo, launched earlier this year.
The commencement of the Ganesh Chaturthi festival saw Volkswagen India deliver 111 cars to customers in Pune yesterday. The company says the number of customer footfalls have increased considerably at its dealerships in India.

Commenting on the festive sale, Michael Mayer, director, Volkswagen Passenger Cars, said, “We are delighted with the response we have received in this festive season as we recorded yet another milestone with deliveries of 111 cars in Pune during the Ganesh Chaturthi festival.”
Volkswagen India has sold 14,953 vehicles in the period from April to July, including 2,200 units of the Ameo.
The German carmaker has invested approximately Rs 720 crore in the development of the Ameo, setting up new equipment for its production as well as ramping up the manufacturing of this compact sedan at its Pune Plant in Chakan.
