Former Hyundai India director Rakesh Srivastava joins JSW Group

Hyundai Motor India's former director of marketing and sales, Rakesh Srivastava, has joined the Mumbai based JSW Group. Srivastava, who takes on the new role today, has been roped in to draw a blueprint for JSW's entry into the electric mobility space. 

Srivastava joins JSW after a 6 year 4 month long stint at Hyundai Motor India during which the OEM saw a rise in its market share. Prior to Hyundai, Srivastava served at Maruti Suzuki for 15 years.

JSW Energy, under which the JSW Group will enter the automobile space, is likely to build a new leadership team for the automobile business. Srivastava's recruitment is crucial as he brings with him 21 years of experience in the auto industry. Overall, Srivastava has work experience of 30 years.
