EVET launches connected system for EV fleet services

EVET, powered by Magenta, implemented a new connected fleet management system for its EV delivery and logistics services. The connected solutions will offer real-time insight on track and trace, vehicle health, driving behaviour, real-time state of charge and low-charge alarms.

The new connected EV solution can process a significant volume of data generated by the Telematics Control Unit (TCU) which helps EVET manage their fleets effectively. The user-friendly interface can be accessible in real-time on smartphones via an app. The system also helps EVET keep an overall check on the health of the fleet's components to ensure optimal safety.

Speaking on the development, Darryl Dias, co-founder & director, Magenta, said, “the real-time tracking system is expected to transform the face of the industry by establishing new standard by providing clients with real-time information.”

The solution guarantees that remote operations team are always in contact with their driver partners and vehicles, giving them more control over the operations. The technology also tracks unauthorised vehicle movements and displays the car's exact position on a graphical map to the owner.

The company claims that it will also help in preventive maintenance of the vehicles for a fluid end-user experience. The company currently operates electric three- wheelers in L5 category, which has travelled over 1.2 million clean (Electric) Kilometres, offsetting almost 16 tonnes of CO2 emissions.

EVET has been servicing the leading e-commerce enterprises, third-party logistics, and last-mile delivery providers, assisting them in meeting their objectives to convert the majority of their fleets to electric. Magenta launched its e-Mobility platform under the EVET brand in 2021. Under EVET, Magenta is already operating over 400 electric cargo delivery and logistics services.
