eMatrixmile and Magenta to set up 10,000 EV charging stations across India

The partnership will initially focus on setting up charging infrastructure in Mumbai, MMR and Maharashtra.

Mumbai-based eMatrixmile India and Magenta EV Solutions have joined forces for installation and commissioning of 'Qyk Pod' charging stations with associated infrastructure and stations in Mumbai, MMR and Maharashtra region.

The partnership aims to install around 10,000 electric charging stations across India in sustained phases. Aiming to create greater synergy between the two organisations and provide electric charging infrastructure initially in the Mumbai, MMR and Maharashtra region and later on a nationwide level.

Mumbai-based eMatrixmile is a on-demand transportation solution service provider through renting out electric two-wheelers christened Qyk. The company aims to be a leading provider of dock station mobility provider of e-scooters, e-bicycle and e-autorickshaw provider.

The company aims to expand its reach to more than 50 cities by year 2021. eMatrixmile has launched Qyk Pod technology-driven mobility platform that enables integrated urban mobility across public and private modes of transport with the help of micro-mobility vehicles (MMVs) a user-friendly mobile app enabling first and last-mile connectivity that is seamless, shared, and sustainable.

Magenta is an EV charging technology provider backed by Hindustan Petroleum Corporation (HPCL), Shell, and Microsoft. The company provides ‘socket-to-software’ solutions for EV charging and has been working on providing innovative solutions in the EV space like ChargeGrid Flare (A streetlamp integrated EV charger) and ChargeGrid Series for private, public, and community use.
