Eicher-Polaris, the 50:50 joint venture between India's Eicher Motors and USA's Polaris Industries, has refreshed its business strategy to ramp up its presence in the domestic market.

As part of the strategy, the goal this year is to double its sales volume of 2016. The company does not disclose the targeted number or the sales volume of 2016. It is learnt that the base of 2016 is fairly small. For Pankaj Dubey, who is in charge of the JV as its CEO since November last year, the key task is to enhance the awareness of the sole product Multix and also to expand market reach significantly.

The JV has also upgraded its sole model Multix to meet the BS IV emission norm that will kick in from April 1, 2017. And based on customer feedback, it has also enhanced the vehicle's power. So, the 511cc engine of the Multix has been replaced by a 652cc engine.
