India’s one of the first premium international car rental brand and corporate ground transportation company, Eco Rent a Car, is now foraying into India’s tier 2 and 3 cities. The company is looking to tap into these high-potential and fast-growing cities by facilitating the provision for booking commercial and corporate ground transportation services the customers there. The services include self-drive and chauffeur-driven transportation services.

Eco Rent a Car is looking to expand its services to cities like Ahmedabad, Goa, Coimbatore, Jaipur, Kochi, Lucknow, Chandigarh and Vadodara.

In the list of services, the company claims to deliver executive class travel experience, time-zone specific service, English speaking chauffeurs, 24x7 global reservation service along with a single and centralized point of contact, billing and MIS for clients who travel across multiple travel zones.

Commenting on the launch of operations in the tier-2 cities, Aditya Loomba, joint managing director, Eco Rent a Car, said, “The concept of self-driving and renting a car is increasingly getting popular among millennials as well as regular business travellers across the major metro cities. They’re basically averse to the idea of car ownership, considering it to be too expensive as cars are a highly depreciating and highly underutilized asset. Just like the metros, however, tier II cities are now noticing a sizeable jump in their economic activity. Likewise, these cities are being termed as promising destinations for both tourism and business movement, luring millenials and the younger crowd for relocation. We are introducing our reliable mobility services in these non-metro cities to make intercity and intra-city commuting a breeze for the new and existing dwellers of these new hubs of commercial and tourism activity.”

With this launch, Aditya is looking to address the problem of transportation for regular commuters and travellers, especially from India’s tier-2 and 3 regions cities amid a flourishing tourism sector and increasing number of MNCs setting up their operations in those cities.
