Dynaspede, a Karnataka-based, 30-year-old company which specialises in conceptualising, designing and manufacturing electromechanical systems for a wide range of applications in the automotive R&D world, is now planning to expand its portfolio with NVH (noise, vibration and harshness) test equipment. This will include equipment related to acoustics, vibration measurement, prototype model testing and others.
This home-grown company is well known for designing and developing tailor-made test rigs (for transmission testing), and has supplied the same to Tata Motors, Renault-Nissan, Mahindra & Mahindra, John Deere, Sona Group, TAFE, Escorts and others so far.
Lalit Dhody, head, sales and marketing, Dynaspede Integrated Systems, told Autocar Professional that “we supply two-wheeler component test equipment to a number of companies including Hero MotoCorp, Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India, Bajaj Auto, TVS Motor Company and others. Our expertise lies in supplying test equipment, designed and manufactured completely in-house, software and testing services to the industry. We export test rigs to south-Asian countries and load cells to our customers in China as well.”
The company supplies test rigs for bearings, belts, drive chain, motors, automotive pumps and transmission systems (including components such as axle and shafts, gearbox). It also supplies chassis dynamometers for emission testing, climatic testing and other solutions.
Dynaspede, which also supplies to the defence sector, is a Rs 45 crore company and is aiming for a turnover of Rs 60 crore in FY2015-16. According to Dhody, the automotive industry contributes close to 40 percent of its total business revenue.
