Ducati Panigale 959 launched at Rs 14.37 lakh
The motorcycle is powered by a new 955cc, L-twin Superquadro motor that meets Euro 4 emissions standard, which Ducati claims has resulted in an increase in power and torque.
After being first unveiled at India Bike Week in February 2016, the Ducati 959 Panigale is now available in India at Rs 14,37,450 (ex -showroom Mumbai).
The motorcycle is powered by a new 955cc, L-twin Superquadro motor that meets Euro 4 emissions standard, which Ducati claims has resulted in an increase in power and torque.
The middle-weight superbike shares its styling with the more powerful 1299 Panigale, while its engine is designed for a more accessible, everyday riding experience that is equally thrilling on the race track, the company claims.
Announcing the start of sales, Ravi Avalur, managing director, Ducati India said: “Since we first unveiled the model, our dealers have received an overwhelming interest from motorcyclists all over the country. The 959 Panigale is the embodiment of Ducati’s premium sports bike culture and is now on display in Bombay at our Bandra Dealership.”
With increased power and torque from the Euro 4 compliant L-twin engine, balanced with safety-enhanced electronics and sheik styling, the 959 Panigale is a result of Ducati's legendary racing heritage.
The electronics package on the motorcycle includes ABS, Ducati Traction Control (DTC) and Engine Brake Control (EBC) and can be adjusted through three pre-programmed power modes, to change the model’s personality between Race, Sport and Wet modes. The 959 Panigale DQS’s electronic quick shift further aids in clean and fast gear changing.
The 959 Panigale is available in the traditional Ducati red with black wheels. The company currently has dealerships in Bengaluru, Delhi, Gurgaon, Mumbai and Pune and plans to further expand its network by opening two new dealerships by the end of 2016.
