Ducati rolls out three variants of the Scrambler 1100

Three new variants of the Scrambler 1100 motorcycles are the biggest and the most powerful scrambler motorcycles today.

Ducati India, the local arm of the celebrated Italian big bike company, has rolled out three new variants of the Scrambler 1100, the biggest and most powerful Scrambler motorcycles in its portfolio today.

The three variants – the Scrambler 1100, the Scrambler 1100 Special and the Scrambler 1100 Sport – are launched with the price tags of Rs 10.91 lakh, Rs 11.12 lakh and Rs 11.42 lakh respectively, all prices are ex-showroom, India.

The Scrambler 1100 variants are powered by Ducati’s air-cooled, L-twin, 1079cc engine, which delivers a peak torque of 9kgm at 4750rpm and a peak power output of 86bhp at 7500rpm.

Commenting on the India launch of the litre-class Scramblers, Sergi Canovas, managing director, Ducati India says, “The Scrambler range is not only one of our bestselling family of motorcycles here in India but also the most versatile across all product categories within the big bike segment. With product appealing to almost every rider style possible the Ducati Scrambler provides a thrilling and unique riding experience. The all-new Scrambler 1100 range of motorcycles offer a lot of road presence and are powered by an extremely capable engine, which delivers the best-in-class performance.”

“The Scrambler motorcycles belong to a carefully thought out category with dripping technology and safety features like cornering ABS, traction control with an aim to meet the needs of even the most demanding, expert motorcyclists,” he further adds.

The Scrambler 1100 features Bosch Cornering ABS and Traction Control. According to the product release, the two features go hand-in-hand with the comfortable riding position.

Unlike the other smaller Scrambler models, the Scrambler 1100 variants offer three riding modes - active, journey and city. Among the three variants, while the

Scrambler 1100 Special draws its inspiration from the custom world and offers a brushed swing arm, chromed exhaust headers, a brown leather quilted seat and spoked wheels thereby lending it a retro appearance, the Scrambler 1100 Sport comes equipped with adjustable Ohlins suspension for the sportiest Scrambler riders and shares its wheels with the standard model.

The company appears to be gearing up to attract buyers for its merchandise and accessories as well now. Ducati India is also launching specially designed accessories and dedicated apparels for the Scrambler 1100 variants.

The bookings for the three variants are now open across Ducati stores across Delhi NCR, Mumbai, Pune, Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Kochi, Kolkata and Chennai.
