Ducati launches snazzy 959 Panigale Corse in India at Rs 15.20 lakh

The 959 Panigale Corse, which gets a 955cc Superquadro engine that is Euro 4 type-approved, develops 157hp of power at 10,500rpm and torque of 107.4 Nm at 9,000rpm.

Luxury motorcycle manufacturer Ducati today launched the 959 Panigale Corse in India at a price of Rs 15,20,000 (ex-showroom, India). The version sold in India is a special edition sporting a dedicated livery inspired by the Ducati Corse MotoGP colours.

According to Sergi Canovas, managing director of Ducati India, “The Panigale has always been the definite Ducati superbike that allows biking enthusiasts to have an unparalleled experience on a race track. The 959 Panigale embodies absolute excellence through the advanced electronics package that inspires confidence and allows riders to explore the limit.  In this special Corse livery, the 959 looks much more special and unique as the paint scheme is inspired by the colours of our MotoGP bike, the Desmosedici GP 18.”

The 959 Panigale Corse, which gets a 955cc Superquadro engine that is Euro 4 type-approved, develops 150hp of power at 10,500rpm and torque of 102 Nm at 9,000rpm. This immense power on the 959 Panigale Corse is managed by an advanced chassis and a top-of-the-line technical package.

To inspire confidence when riding at any speed in varying conditions, the 959 Panigale Corse is equipped with a state-of-the-art electronics package which includes the latest-generation, two-channel Bosch ABS 9MP, Ducati Traction Control (DTC), Ducati Quick Shift (DQS), Engine Brake Control (EBC) and Ride-by-Wire (RbW). With to the Ducati Riding Modes, the electronic settings can be altered differently to give the bike three different riding modes – Race, Sport and Wet. However, the version available in India is not equipped with the Ohlins suspensions, lithium battery, Ohlins steering damper and Ducati Performance titanium silencers by Akrapovic.

The 959 Panigale Corse comes with the Ducati Corse livery with black wheels. Bookings are now open across all Ducati dealerships in Delhi – NCR, Mumbai, Pune, Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Kochi, Kolkata and Chennai. The motorcycle is to be displayed at DRE Track Days, which will be held at the Buddh International Circuit, on October 13-14.
