DICV sales up 48 percent in 2021

DIXV recorded a 125 percent increase in exports in CY2021

Daimler India Commercial Vehicles, which completes a decade in India this year recorded a 48 percent growth in wholesales selling 14,222 trucks for calendar 2021.

The manufacturer said that despite supply chain headwinds, rising input costs and impact of the pandemic, it also recorded a 125 percent growth in exports in the last calendar. This is the company’s  highest-ever export sales and highest-ever sales of parts.

The company’s MD & CEO, Satyakam Arya said, “Despite supply chain headwinds, rising input costs, rising fuel prices and the impact of Covid, we were able to record a 48 percent increase in domestic wholesales and achieved highest-ever growth in exports of trucks, buses and parts. DICV and BharatBenz complete 10 years in the Indian market in 2022 and we are geared up for a sustainable growth this year”

DICV also continued to increase its sales and service network for BharatBenz across India and has crossed 270 touch points last year. The manufacturer is expanding its network footprint further to multi-tier markets in India as part of its planned outreach for BharatBenz.
