Cummins India appoints Sandeep Sinha as new MD
Sandeep Sinha has played a key role in the organisation and has been instrumental in setting up of various plants for Cummins India.
Cummins India which designs, manufactures, sells and services diesel and alternative fuel engines, has today announced the appointment of Sandeep Sinha as the new managing director, effective from February 1, 2018.
Before Sinha’s appointment as the managing director, he was the chief operating officer (COO) for Cummins India, since January 2015. He has played a key role in the organisation, prior to handling the operations for the company, he served as the vice president of the Industrial Engine Business in India. He focused on several key areas like safety, quality, operational and supply-chain excellence. He also has contributed in the start-up of multiple plants at the Cummins Megasite in Phaltan, India.
Sinha has more than 15 years of experience with Cummins, and has assumed various leadership roles across entities, including the New and ReCon Parts business in India and corporate strategy in the U.S.
Sinha is a engineering graduate from the Manipal Institute of Technology, and has worked with Saint Gobain India for 6 years. He then pursued his graduate degree in Business Administration from the Kelley School of Business, Indiana University.
