Covid-19 Impact: Benelli India temporarily halts operations

The manufacturing and assembly plant in Hyderabad will remain closed till March 31.

In the wake of the Covid-19 outbreak, Benelli India has shut down all operations at its manufacturing and assembly plant based out of Hyderabad, with immediate effect until the end of this month, March 31, 2020. However, employees from other departments will continue to work from home.

The action is in compliance with the rules and regulations laid down by the government authorities to tackle Covid-19 outbreak. The company has been monitoring the situation closely and ensured that necessary measures were taken on-premises, keeping in mind the safety of its employees.

Benelli as a global player has established itself across 70 countries and became a part of QJIAN JIANG (QJ) group, China in 2005. Globally, the production capacity reaches 12,00,000 vehicles per year, with about 14,000 employees. Mahavir Group, spearheads Benelli’s operations in India through Adishwar Auto Ride India (AARI), a partner of Mahavir Group, one of the leading automobile dealers in the country. The company manufactures and imports range of Benelli bikes from Italy and South East Asia regions.
