COMSOL Multiphysics, a provider of simulation software for product design and research to the automotive OEMs, has setup its office in Pune in order to be closer to its customers. Pune branch being the firm’s third branch in India will work towards strengthening its support services in the western region via software sales, technical support, training sessions, workshops, user conferences and customer events.

Commenting on this development, Pankaj Nerikar, branch manager, COMSOL’s new Pune office said “this new location will go a long way in spreading the reach of COMSOL to the growing number of modelling and simulation users in Western India.”

"Many of our advanced engineering activities require multiphysics. We have found that the technical support offered by COMSOL can be highly beneficial to our simulation work, and we look forward to the increased interaction and reduced turnaround time that the Pune office will provide,” added Suresh Arikapudi, divisional manager, advanced engineering group, Tata Motors.

Seconding that thought, Ulhas Mohite, manager, Mahindra Two Wheelers (MTWL) said “a Pune-based COMSOL support team will definitely benefit us. We can now share our simulation questions with the skilled Pune-based team through on-site customer workshops and in-person discussions. This support will help to accelerate the pace of our research and development activities using COMSOL’s multiphysics tools.”

COMSOL is organising a conference in Bangalore on November 13-14, which will see major new product releases, user presentations, and training courses.
