Production of the Citroen Basalt SUV-coupe has begun in May 2024 at the Thiruvallur plant in Tamil Nadu.
The Basalt will be around 4.3 metres long and targeted at the upcoming Tata Curvv.
The Basalt will be powered by the same 110hp, 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine as the C3 Aircross.
The made-in-India Basalt will also be exported to South American markets.
The Basalt features a short, stubby rear end with clean surfacing and newly designed tail-lamps.
