Chevrolet opens new dealership in Mumbai
Carmaker expands its network in Maharashtra to 23 showrooms and 26 workshops.
General Motors India today inaugurated a new Chevrolet dealership in Mumbai, ‘Nikhil Chevrolet’, increasing its reach to seven showrooms and nine workshops in Mumbai.
Commenting on the new dealership’s inauguration, Kaher Kazem, president and managing director, GM India (pictured below), said, “We have opened the new dealership in view of the increasing popularity of Chevrolet vehicles in Maharashtra. The facility will be headed by Sumit Gupta, who is recognised as a prominent business leader with strong credentials in the state. We are confident that under his able leadership and guidance, the dealership will set a new benchmark in sales, service and customer satisfaction.”
Located on Malad Link Road, Mumbai, the new showroom offers a wide range of accessories and top-of-the-line customer support. The showroom is supported by two workshops at Goregaon and Kurla, which are manned by a team of highly trained engineers equipped with the latest garage tools, state-of-the-art diagnostic equipment.

The carmaker has introduced the Chevrolet Complete Care program to provide assured low cost and high quality of maintenance for customers across India. This includes the industry-first Chevrolet Promise – assured low cost of maintenance, a 24x7 roadside assistance program which is free for three years with all new car purchases, and extended vehicle warranty at a nominal cost. The roadside assistance package is also available for existing customers at a nominal cost, provided the vehicle is not more than five years old.
GM India, which currently sells the Chevrolet Beat, Cruze, Enjoy, Sail, Sail Hatchback, Trailblazer and Tavera models, plans to launch five new Chevrolet models within the space of 24 months. The company sold a total of 1,528 units in July 2016 (-32% YoY) and 8,157 units in the April-July 2016 period (-32% YoY).
