Encouraged by the latest EV policy announcements by the Indian government, MakerMax System, a start-up dedicated to advanced lithium battery technologies and online EV education, has expanded its operations in India with a series of new products and services.

A recently launched product is an indigenously developed desktop model of the AI-enabled battery analyser CCAX4 for R&D labs, battery pack and BMS developers and comes at a fraction of cost of imported equivalents.

The battery is the costliest component of an EV and perhaps the most unpredictable. All the stakeholders in the chain, whether the battery pack maker, OEM or the consumer need to know that they are choosing the right cells and the appropriate chemistry and getting the worth they are paying for in a battery cell.

Predicting the useful life takes out the guesswork from the estimation of the TCO (total cost of ownership). This prediction can help in the confidence building in EV adoption, financing and leasing of the batteries as well as the risk free offering of warranty. MakerMax says CCAX4 is a state-of-the-art equipment at a cost effective price which helps predict the useful life of a battery and also simulates battery behaviour on a standard or customised drive cycle.

Speaking on the sidelines of  ‘The Economic Times Master Classes’ at Gurgaon on ‘Lithium Battery Safety’, Akshay Gill, an ex-Tesla R&D engineer and founder director of MakerMax, said, "India is one of the few countries that has huge potential in the field of EVs but also the largest gap in the skill set required for jobs and businesses. Educational institutes are unable to keep pace with the fast-changing EV technologies and therefore end up producing inadequately-trained engineers. Companies have to invest huge amounts of resources to bring the talent up to a level before they are able to contribute effectively."

"MakerMax is striving to bridge this gap by providing high-quality intensive courses for students and professionals, coupled with uniquely designed hardware kits, interactive live sessions and mentorship from industry experts for enhanced engagement and higher retention. MakerMax helps engineers get the right jobs in up and coming EV ecosystem and also trains the professionals to contribute more effectively to organisations," he added

Some of the popular online courses on the MakerMax platform are the EV Foundation Certificate course and Battery Master-Class. The company claims that till date over 40,00 students and professionals have benfited from these courses. A key highlight of these interactive courses is a specially designed hardware kit that makes the learning process extremely engaging and effective.

The Battery Master Class online class is spread over a duration of four months for easy paced learning of students as well as professionals working in the industry especially in R&D, product development, quality, supply chain and manufacturing.

MakerMax says its courses and products are becoming popular globally including the Middle East, North America, Europe, far Eas, and Asia as they benefit students and professionals to fast track their careers in the EVindustry.
