BYD India delivers 450 all-electric e6 MPVs since November 2021
The all-electric e6 MPV is seeing strong demand and has sold over 450 units since launch 10 months ago
BYD India, which is set to launch the all-electric Atto 3 SUV on October 11, says it has delivered over 450 premium e6 eMPVs across India since the launch of the all-electric MPV in November 2021. This makes for monthly average sales of 45 units till end-August 2022. Till now, the e6 was being sold only as a fleet model but now is open to personal vehicle buyers.
BYD India first launched this model on November 1, 2021 in the key cities of Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Ahmedabad, Chennai, Hyderabad, Vijaywada, and Kochi. The company has expanded its retail footprint since then by appointing dealer partners in Gurgaon, Chandigarh, Indore, Jaipur, Pune, and Kolkata. Recently, BYD India inaugurated its showrooms across five cities: Delhi, Mumbai, Kochi, Vijayawada, and Hyderabad.
The e6, the first premium eMPV and the only electric vehicle powered by the BYD Blade Battery in India, comes 580 litre boot space and is capable of regenerating power from as low as 2kph. Equipped with the 71.7 kWh Blade Battery, the e6 has a WLTC range of 520km (city) and a WLTC (combined) range of 415km on a single charge. The EV has a vehicle warranty of 3 years/125,000km, a battery cell warranty of 8 years/500,000km, and a traction motor warranty of 8 years/150,000km.

This growth demonstrates our commitment to mother nature and reducing carbon emissions by creating a global, truly zero-emission ecosystem. The e6 scores high on battery safety and is India's first model to adopt BYD’s puncture-resistant Blade Battery.”
