Bridgestone India's Vaibhav Saraf leaves company

Vaibhaf Saraf, the head of consumer products at Brigestone India, has quit the company. Saraf had a stint of close to 15 years at the company. He was instrumental in driving the marketing and sales activities of the Japanese tyre maker in India. Saraf was reporting to the company's managing director, Parag Satpute.
Bridgestone has been growing its presence in India since its entry in 1996. Today, it is one of the leading players in the OEM and aftermarket segments. It has two plants – one each in Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra. Bridgestone also introduced its Firestone brand in India two years ago. Last year, the tyre major had announced a plan to invest around Rs 1,940 crore in India by 2022 in order to expand production capacity.
