Blaupunkt to set up 20 brand stores in India by 2016

As part of its retail expansion strategy for India, Blaupunkt, the in-car infotainment and sound major, has opened its first brand shop in the country, owned by authorized distributor, Topmost Group.

As part of its retail expansion strategy for India, Blaupunkt, the in-car infotainment and sound major, has opened its first brand shop in the country, owned by authorized distributor, Topmost Group. Located in central Kochi, Kerala, this store showcases the entire product portfolio including speakers, woofers, sub-woofers and car infotainment products. The company says well-trained staff will assist customers get expert advice on the right, budget-matching products to complement their vehicle as well as facilitate professional product installation.

Inaugurating the new store, Dr Lars Placke, CEO, Blaupunkt, said, “The Blaupunkt brand shop enables us to get closer to the customer, thereby helping us understand their requirements better. We aim to launch 20 more stores in the next two years.”

Pankaj Jagwani, director, Blaupunkt India, added, “We are extremely glad to launch our first brand shop in India as an excellent platform for customers to experience Blaupunkt’s premium sound, multimedia and navigation products and get customized solutions that enhance their driving experience.
