Bharat Petroleum begins doorstep delivery of diesel in Noida
The customers can book diesel through ‘Fill now’ app and get it at a given location
Bharat Petroleum Corporation has begun doorstep delivery of diesel for industrial and bulk customers in Noida. The company has started delivery of the fuel from Shaheed Ramendra Pratap Singh Petrol Pump at Sector-95 in Noida.
According to BPCL, this service will benefit housing society, malls, hospitals, banks, large transporters, construction sites, and small and big industries. The customers can book diesel through ‘Fillnow’ app and get it at a given location. The new initiative aims to make the process convenient for people to get the oil delivered at their doorstep. The fuel delivery vehicle comes fitted with a mobile dispenser and a 4,000-litre fuel tank. The service aims to ensure hassle-free supply of the fuel to end-users and also avoid unnecessary fuel spillage, unsafe handling of fuel in containers/barrels and also pilferage. BPCL claims that this is the first of its kind service in the Delhi-NCR region.
Kirti Kumar, sales officer, BPCL Noida, said, “Presently, we are providing this facility to the industrial need like mall, small and heavy manufacturing industries. In the future, the government is planning to extend this facility to individual car owners. Through this Bowser (door to door delivery vehicle) the safety aspect is taken care of. Furthermore, the quality and quantity are also assured as we have fuel which will be dispensed assuring correct quantity and right quantity directly from BPCL Pump. Bowser has GEO fencing system which ensures that fuel will be delivered only at ordered locations. Hence, no other fuel can be added or pilfered in between transportation.”
According to BPCL, once a customer downloads the Fillnow app from Synergy Teletech, he/she can track the location. After that the customer's location will be connected to the company’s server. Once he/she places the order, the fuel would reach the concerned BPCL dealer with complete details of the customer (name, cellphone number, quantity required, address and time of delivery). After receiving the receipt of the order from the customer, the mobile dispenser will reach the destination and the dispensing would commence through automation at the designated location (geofenced area). The fuel dispenser is equipped with fire extinguishers and safety cones among others for demarcation of the delivery area. Also, the customer gets a SMS alert before fuel dispenser reaches the given location. The customer can then complete the payment through cash, UPI, mobile wallet, Debit-Credit card, NEFT, RTGS and similar others. The receipt of the payment would be generated accordingly.
